The Karimbhai Housing Society is located on Scheme 33, off Super Highway. The colony is also one of the projects that have popped up on the outskirts of Karachi and gained quite a lot of popularity in a short time. To find a comfortable and serene environment in an otherwise sound and busy city, Mr. Shoaib wanted a house for his young family and parents.

We came up with a design that allows both the families to live in the same house, share a common space yet enjoy their freedoms at their convenience. The top floor is to be inhabited by Mr. Shoaib, while the ground level would be taken up by his parents. The first floor serves as a common area where the two families can interact such as the grandparents with their grandchildren.

The house is west-facing, which means air blows towards the house. This can best be enjoyed on the first floor that has a room terrace.

On the top floor, there are big rooms and a bigger veranda. The kids’ playroom is also located on the top level.
