The location of this house is in a vicinity that is closely packed with houses. The challenge here was to get the best of natural light and wind.
We designed this house in a manner that the natural light comes from a duct and illuminates the whole house. The staircase is a double-height space that goes all the way to the top acting as a windcatcher, capturing the west wind.
The facade consists of a Jharoka for two stories decorated with Islamic geometric patterns with first-floor views to Jamaat Khana that is the center of activity for the community.
These compact house of 200 sq. yards consists of 5 bedrooms, 1 drawing room, 3 lounges, a kitchen, and a pantry.
